Cash and donations in kind

Since this association was brought to life, we have relied on the commitment and support of the citizens of Düsseldorf and its companies, in order to maintain our services and to meet the current need. There are many ways in which you can support Aidshilfe Düsseldorf. Please contact us!

Aidshilfe Düsseldorf has to finance nearly 40 percent of its budget with own means. There are many ways in which you can support us – please see below a short overview:

You can make one-off or regular donations, which will be a valuable contribution towards the maintenance of projects for people with HIV and Aids in Düsseldorf.

Should you be interested, we would also be happy to introduce the various projects to you. You can then decide to pay your donation towards a specific purpose. Otherwise, we are happy to make that decision for you.

Cash donations are tax-deductible. At your request, and whilst stipulating your full address, we shall provide you with a donation receipt. You may submit this to the financial authorities. In case of donations of up to 200 Euros, a receipt or transfer receipt shall be sufficient and may be claimed as part of your tax return.

We are of course also very happy to receive donations in kind. Here, the need may vary: t-shirts and sweatshirts for refugee projects, strollers for a client, cake donations for our summer party, raffle items, books for our book corner and many more.

Due to a lack of space, we are currently unable to accept spontaneous furniture donations, household goods and clothes. Please pass these donations to the fairkaufhäuser shop of the Diakonie or „cash & raus“, which is operated by Caritas.

Should you wish to make a donation in kind to Aidshilfe, please contact us before making such a donation. We are then able to ask all staff, which items are currently needed.

Donations in kind, as well as cash donations, are tax-deductible. However, we will need a receipt confirming the value of goods from private and commercial donors, such as invoices.

Many people choose to volunteer for Aidshilfe projects. They help in connection with the summer party, prepare food on a regular basis or support people with HIV and Aids.

We are a non-profit organization and are therefore recognized as being particularly eligible. Donations and membership contributions are tax-deductible. Any inheritances donated to us shall be exempt from inheritance tax.
